SIGMA GROUP

As part of the consolidation of the various operating companies, the SG Companies Inc was created as a holding company that owns SIGMA Corporation, Russell Pipe Sales Corporation, Russell Pipe & Foundry Inc., Miland Realty Corporation as well as the UK joint venture called SAL Limited. The group company formalized the existing relationships between the operating companies that had been forged through common ownership. In addition to the subsidiaries, SG Companies also has an affiliate in Mexico (SIMEX) which is involved in the sale of products to the Mexican waterworks industry.

RUSSELL PIPE

Russell Pipe Sales Corporation has its main sales office and distribution center in Alexander City, Alabama and Two satellite warehouses in Rockingham, NC and Orlando, Florida. The company distributes SIGMA products under the Russell name which has a long history and good brand recognition in the South Eastern states. All marketing and sales activities are conducted under the SIGMA umbrella.

Russell Pipe & Foundry, Inc. closed its foundry operation in 1992 because of the increased costs of complying with the environmental regulations. Since then it operates as a real estate company.

Both the Russell companies are 100% owned subsidiaries of SG Companies Inc.

SIGMA ASL LIMITED (SAL)

SAL Limited is a joint venture in UK between SIGMA and ASL Limited. SAL is a diversified company that supplies globally sourced components to Tier 1 Automotive companies like Caterpillar, Case New Holland, etc. It also operates a logistics unit that services some of these customers on a Just-In-Time basis in UK, Europe and USA. Most of the sourcing is from the Far East with increasing focus in China. SAL has liaison and technical offices in Korea, China and India. In 2006, SAL began importing pipe, fittings, valves, couplings, and street hardware for sale to UK and other European markets.

SIMEX

SIMEX is an affiliate company of SIGMA located in Mexico and is an importer-distributor of valves, fittings, gibault joints, couplings and municipal castings. The valves and fittings are imported from SIGMA and the municipal castings are sourced locally. SIMEX has built a reputation of good quality, prompt delivery and strong sales support with its experienced sales staff and a well stocked centrally located warehouse in Guadalajara.

SIGMA CHINA OFFICE (SCO)

The SIGMA China Office provides technical support to our production units in China and also enhances the supply chain activities due to the increased demands resulting from the growth of business, especially in the OEM supply side. The office has vendor support engineers and Supply Chain executives. It also does CAD work for the our China production facilities.

SIGMA INDIA LIASON OFFICE (SILO)

SILO is the technical backend office that has been established in the southern city of Coimbatore, India to monitor the quality assurance programs in our production facilities in India and China. They have qualified and experienced foundry and metallurgical engineers whose task is to constantly review the material test reports sent by the foundries. They are also involved in assisting with new product development as well as helping with the supply logistics out of India. SILO has recently started doing some of the technical backoffice work for SIGMA in terms of CAD and Finite Element Analysis.
