RE+ Show Highlights Growth and Opportunities in the Renewable Energy Sector

The RE+ show, held this September in Anaheim, was a landmark event. The show attracted 45,000 attendees, hosted over 1,300 exhibitors, and offered numerous opportunities for professionals to connect, share innovations, and shape policies. The event showcased the growing momentum of the renewable energy sector. Our thanks and congratulations go out to SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) and SEPA (Smart Electric Power Alliance) for organizing such a stellar event.

While solar energy remained a key focus, this year saw an increased emphasis on energy storage across all types of renewable sources. The importance of storing energy—whether generated from solar, hydrogen, wind, or other sources—has become a top priority in the industry. This shift is driving demand for the components used in manufacturing substations and energy storage facilities.

Alongside the usual solar panel materials, there was a noticeable rise in the display of fabricated products made from both steel and aluminum. Attendees discussed the need for components and materials at every stage of the renewable energy process, from collection and storage to distribution.

A central topic of conversation was the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which requires that all solar panels and components be manufactured in the USA. This requirement is pushing new investments and challenging suppliers to keep pace with the growing demand for renewable energy components.

In response, SIGMA OEM has expanded our US-based manufacturing capabilities to meet the needs of the renewable energy continuum—covering collection, storage, and distribution. Beyond the environmental benefits, the renewable energy sector is fostering job creation, innovation, and a resurgence in domestic manufacturing, all of which are contributing to the strength of the American economy. SIGMA OEM is well positioned to support the renewable energy market with the same industry-leading quality, service, and innovation we’ve provided for over four decades. With a proven track record, we have already supplied fabricated products and components across the collection, storage, and distribution stages of renewable energy projects.
