Congratulations to Jonathan Richardson, Salesperson of the Year
SIGMA congratulates Territory Salesman Jonathan Richardson on being named Salesperson of the Year. Richardson, who covers Northern Florida for SIGMA, expanded sales in the region, captured several new customers, and capitalized on the strength of the marketplace to advance SIGMA’s position.
He comments, “The strength of the marketplace was a major factor in driving my sales. The demand was there, and that created opportunity.” Richardson credits his team for a lot of his success: “My Inside Sales Managers are second to none. I hear from customers all the time how much they appreciate the responsiveness and professionalism of both Greg Wilkerson and Charlotte Blubaugh.” Relationships were also key to making 2024 a banner year; Richardson continues: “Relationships are key, and we work hard to demonstrate how much we value our customers and partners. SIGMA’s ability to service customers quickly and reliably with quality product really sets us apart.”
Greg Fox, SIGMA’s Vice President of Sales, comments, “In the fast-paced Florida market, rarely does a day pass without a new challenge or opportunity. Jonathan embraces both the challenges and opportunities by advocating for his customers while balancing the needs of the company. The combination has produced great results. We are very pleased to recognize Jonathan’s success and on behalf of management, I offer sincere congratulations and thanks for his efforts.”
When asked about his approach to sales, Jonathan explains, “When asked about his approach to sales, Jonathan explains, “I set my target on some proverbial ‘big fish’ and ended up surpassing my expectations! One customer had multiple locations in my territory so it was 100% worth the effort. SIGMA is also gaining traction in the Plant Work sector, which also has helped to move the needle. I have strong mentors at SIGMA: I lean pretty hard on Greg Fox, and of course my Area Sales Manager Al Richardson.” Most of all, Jonathan credits his wife Rachel, who he refers to as “Supermom…she manages the home front, takes amazing care of our three daughters ages 11, 7, and 2, and she’s a full-time kindergarten teacher. Rachel really deserves the award—because I would not be successful without her support and all she does to keep our family healthy and happy.”
