Plant Work’s Char Blubaugh: Customer service is BAKED into her DNA
“It’s 100% about the customer service. No matter what… that’s what it comes down to for our customers. Do we deliver to the right place at the right price and on time. Are we true to our word?” Char Blubaugh, SIGMA Plant Work project manager, definitively nails the SIGMA difference. SIGMA employees live the corporate mantra: “Quality – Service – Commitment – Delivered”.
Char goes on to share her story: “I joined SIGMA in 2019. I came from a machine shop in Alabama. Since moving to Virginia, I’ve worked exclusively with SIGMA’s Plant Work customers on projects that are drawn from across the South-East, including the state of Florida. I use the same skills to manage major treatment plant projects as I learned on the job in Alabama: Precision and attention to minute detail is critical to our success! The longest running project I’ve been involved with is the McCroskey Island project in TN. I love this Plant Work sector because servicing the distributors is often more complex than handling regular branch sales – that’s why it’s so much fun.
Char is rightly renowned within SIGMA for her baking prowess. A firm favorite with all is her grandma’s carrot cake:
“I love to bake and I’m really good at it! Essentially, it’s the same project management skills! It’s all about precision with the ingredients, following a documented process carefully, and being spot on with the timing!”
